Rosewoods (Dalbergia spp.) are the world's most trafficked wild product. Not only are they exploited and endangered, they stir up local conflicts and violence. They are also known as bloodwood. We are collaborating with five governments to conserve these valuable trees and restore the livelihoods.

Factors that determine species' ranges have long attracted the interest of ecologists and evolutionary biologists. We develop a novel database, GenDivRange, that integrates essential data that may be used to test predictions of evolutionary models and eventually predict the future range of species.
